COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The No Surprises Act (NSA) is part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act and includes extensive federal protections for healthcare consumers.
The NSA shields consumers from surprise billing if they have a group health plan, group or individual health insurance coverage and also provides protections for the uninsured and self-pay patients. It bans all surprise bills for emergency services from an out-of-network provider or facility without prior authorization.
The Certificate of No Surprises Act Proficiency (CNSAP) provides the learner with a high-level understanding of the NSA and its detailed provisions.
